I liked the reading it was something different then what we usually read. I did understand it pretty good. The character was okay it kind of reminded me of the movie "Pearl Harbor" when he was burning the letters she wrote him. I didn't love the setting but it was a good setting for this story.

Yes, this does relate to me in the real world because my dad is in the military so I understand how it is. Not only is it hard on the solider but it is also hard on the family. I do think this is realistic because we have a war going on right now.

Reading this still did not change my mind on the war or what I think about the war. I do think men still feel the same when they are at war because none of them want to die. Although there is a little difference in the war now and the war back then it is still a war and it is still deadly. Now we are fighting over different reasons but I think either way you look at it, it's still a war.
